note from Mary Grace

Hey guys! We are all still having a great time. Despite the camp cancellation, we did a ton of great activities to make up the time. On the 3rd, we all went to a coffee farm on top of a SUPER tall mountain. Yes, we had to climb up the mountain to get to it. Yes, we took many breaks. After resting for a while, we all put on helmets and harnesses and leaped off a 150 ft. tall waterfall! Hahh, just kidding. We did climb down it, though. It was simply amazing to bounce down these massive, slippery rocks while a waterfall came gushing at you. Scary, but fun (: We all returned with no major injuries, and only a few scrapes.

Then, on the fourth of July, our first sickness came along. Unfortunately, it was mine. I threw up a LOT and had a really bad stomach ache for most of the day. I think I’ll get better soon IF my dog’s name is Ollie…

The rest of the fourth was spent at an orphanage a few minutes away from camp. The kid’s there were all from ages 1-16, and they were all adorable! We helped them with crafts, gave them some craft supplies to keep, and played lots of games with them. It was really an eye-opening experience for all of us. It was simply amazing to see these kids make crafts and then be super eager to give them away to someone on the team. The kids & the experience were just super awesome. And to top off the day, we watched Indiana Jones and set off fireworks back at camp. We also sang the star spangled banner to the beat of ‘We Will Rock You’, but you kind of had to be there.

I hope all you guys are doing well back at the homestead. I love all you guys times a bajillion and really miss you all!

Group Members:
It is exciting to hear about your activities and the way that God is providing for the group even when things don't quite go the way we have planned. Soak in these moments- they will be in your memories for a life time. Also remember you can definitely make a difference- no matter how big or small the act of kindness. We love you, miss you and are praying for you.

Hey there, Crew!
I just had the chance to read the whole saga thus far, and I love it. I don't know if it compares to flat tires, and hauling water from the river to fill the pila, but I love that our Jr High is always so flexible. You guys are the coolest, and we so wish we were there. Keep having a great time, and don't forget... when it comes down to either laughing or crying, laughing's way more fun. Send everyone our love! We're thinking of you more than you know.

Hi Megs And the rest of the team,
I am sitting here with Megan's Grandma and Grandpa reading about your adventures and thinking about how God has and is working in your lives. We hope you are all enjoying the beach, please, please wear sunscreen. Jon, it would be a bummer for your head to turn all red. We love the pictures and the stories. Papa says, " All the best to you, this is a time in your life you will never forget." Grandma says,"You cannot believe how often I think about you. Can you really beleive I am typing this all by meself--- that is real love -- I would not do this for just anybody! i miss you so much. we went to your church and saw all the campers on the screen and i cried with joy and so proud of all of you. I pray for you all each day--- oh the power of the Lord. I love you so much---sending a big bunch of hugs. LOVE Grandma Pat." Take good care of one another. I love you all. Heather, Grandma and Grandpa

We were having a difficult time setting up an account to send you a note that is why we hadn't sent a note before. It sounds like everything is going well and it is a great adventure. We all miss you and look forward to seeing some great pictures. You're not missing anything here-Dominic is currently sleeping on the couch.
